Arroyo rejects resignation of PASG chief

Bayshore has left a new comment on post " Arroyo rejects resignation of PASG chief Villar ": Napanood ko ang privelege speech ni Rep.

stop smuggling?

Re: GMA to PASTF: Stop smuggling stop smuggling? they have it in every port, i bet. let the government make some money to pay for our debts with the world bank: fines. come on guys. charge them the amount if they were to buy such a car. you know they do a lot of smuggling in Ilocos, don't you? for years they have been doing that, from washing machines to scooters to harleys. gheez, and we are not able to stop them. I may not know a lot about our country's issues about smuggling, but it is just ridiculous that we haven't realized after so many years, that we are an archipleago. Can we really watch every island? we have 7,107 don't we? we will just end up running around chasing them. "loreladelossantos" loreladelossantos@yahoo.com

comment on post "DOJ: Thrashing of cars legal

comment on post " DOJ: Thrashing of cars legal ": I think the DOJ's reliance on Section 2609 of the Tariff and Customs Code is misplaced because that provision refers to contraband (i.e., articles of prohibited importation and exportation). Articles of prohibited importation are enumerated in Section 102 of the same Code. I am not aware of any law prohibiting the importation of luxury cars. Without such law, the cars cannot be classified as contraband and therefore beyond the scope of Section 2609. Besides, what illegal activities in the future is the DOJ speaking of when the illegal act of smuggling (of goods the importation of which is not necessarily prohibited) happened in the past? winniefang

Smuggled Luxury Vehicle's destruction

Has anyone bothered to check to see if these vehicles were stolen from other countries? It is very common for vehicles stolen in the U.S. to be shipped overseas. I think that the serial #'s on these cars should be interpoled prior to their destruction. Just a thought! "bobkeyes3" bobkeyes3@yahoo.com >

comment on post "CARLESS IN SUBIC

caraddict has left a new comment on post " CARLESS IN SUBIC ": the only thing the government wants is to earn more money, thru TAXES, if they will just crush the cars listed on thursday they'll just waste money and time... i can just smell publicity a stunt. if they sell those cars listed they can earn atleast 30million pesos with those cars... and 30million pesos can FEAD thousands of families already. and with your opionion with branded cars, i just think you cant afford them. comparing a Toyota Altis to a Mercedes Benz S350 (the least priced from the list) is a big NO NO. i think what the government should is to lessen the taxes in importing and add tax in gasoline! HAHAHAHA 'coz cars consumes gasolines. thats will ear them millions even billions of pesos per month. im a big car fan,i love them and i want to own as much as i can. if they'll continue thus demolishion on thursday it'll just show that the country is willing to spend more than earning.
