Polluting Subic Bay

People's concern about Subic Bay being polluted and SBMA not doing action to an urgent environmental problem. This video was recently taken to check the extent of pollution in Subic Bay. This writer will coordinate with concerned agencies such as Water Regulatory Board, DENR, SBMA and the local government units to try to work on a solution to this problem. Let's hope that something acceptable comes out so we won't need file formal complaint just to have this concern solved. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xVpAMWjNRc this is a report on the subic bay vista marina sewer outlet, sbma authorities has to act pronto on this one or people can get sick from this anomaly Comments Anonymous said... As only a five year resident I would like to comment on pollution, be it road transport or other. First of all, yes there does appear to be more Jeepney traffic in Olongapo but also more private vehicles, as well as tricycles all combining to create chaos. Parking: Why not utilise some of the vacant lots around town as parking spaces and share proceeds with the owner. Provision of off-road parking will help de-clog the roads. Or totally ban parking on main thoroughfares or introduce parking meters with strict time limits. The revenue generated should cover cost of additional manpower required. Habor pollution. Over the past five years I have noticed a gradual increase in pollution of our beautiful harbor and am very concerned that the rapid increase in buildings will cause increased pollution unless strict control of effluent is imposed. Keep up the good work.
