RamonAbello: Read this ff. article John and research! US Dept of Labor (Wage and Hour), www.gov.ph (Rights to safe and healthful condition of work). then curse me after you read. Im happy to accept it!
RamonAbello: Bert, im looking the "big picture" thousands not a hundred of mouth to feed, times their family. SBMA is combinations of profiters or business, not only Hanjin
RamonAbello: evry 400 workers they can elect chairman and safety man, by law (www.gov.ph)
RamonAbello: Wrong Information from the Internet , one of the source is "Wikipidia" - (Bandila ABS-CBN News)
RamonAbello: Gaponians, itong huli sa norte can make "trillion pesos of shabu" burned it again ASAP.
TheClown: Who ever caught a ranking official protects this kind of illegal business "put him back to a rank of private" hehehe
TheClown: When will the North Rail project starts? dont stop because its for the benefits of industry in the philippines, that where your "VAT" works. find a good and honest workers
John: So other death at Hanjin. Sad.
John: Ramon. I am not against YOU personally, your comments and thoughts are what YOU see and report. This is a free speech site, so speak your mind.
John: As for a union for these workers at Hanjin, they shouldgo for it. The unions in S. Korea are in fact very hard on the companies within Korea. This could be a reason they are moving away from Korea to build ships in PI. NO UNIONS and cheper labor =
John: larger profits. SAD.
John: Ramon, I understand your point of view on the wages set by law. Yes it is time for SOMEONE to stand up and change the law and make it BETTER for ALL those workers in SBMA.
John: As for the SAFETY issues. How many deaths is it going to take BEFORE someone gets off their rear ends and does something?????
John: It is time for the workers to get a UNION and get this problem fixed NOW before it costs any more lives in the shipyard.
John: Hanjin needs to be fined $$$$$$$$$$$$ for each safety violation found DAILY. SBMA and the Gov't needs to bring in a company that is not related to Hanjin
John: in any way to run the Safety Program at this shipyard. Bring in the EXPERTS who will walk around 24-7 and do safety checks. That will check each and every aspect of what is going on and must SIGN OFF prior to doing ANY work in the yard.
John: By doing this, it will ensure that every aspect of the work being done is done safely and correct. NOTHING is done in the shipyard I am at without a SAFETY inspection, NOTHING. Without a safety inspection, nothing is done till the inspection is
John: completed. If this slows down the operation, so be it. NO ONE is getting hurt or killed becasue SOMEONE FAILED to do this insepection.
John: So what is going to be Ramon and those other lurkers on here who think that this is NOT a problem. More deaths and injuries??? NO LIFE is worth the lack of SAFETY.
John: In reading the site you sent me to Ramon, I see that the rules are there, but maybe, just maybe there are holes in these rules, guildlines. I know that in PI there are not enough inspectors to go around.
John: I know that the average Filipino would not speak up if he/she saw a safety problem as they would be concerned about getting fired. Sad.
John: So what should be done???? Maybe it is time for the Gov't to take charge, and fix this problem. Hmmmmmmm right. It is sad to say that for me, I don't think that this problem of safety in the Hanjin shipyard will ever be addressed or fixed.
John: Why do I feel that way? $$$$$ under the table to those that turn away from the problem with a blind eye, speak to the workers with one idea, and then walk away richer. Its the same old way of doing things in PI. SAD SAD.
John: In the end, each ship that is being built will be built on the deaths of many workers. The first one was with 12 deaths, now we begin another ship and lets see how may deaths will be with this ship.
John: I wonder Ramon if you have done any research on the unions in Korea in regards to Hanjin??? I will do some to see what those unions have done for the better of their workers.
John: In closing thins discussion today for me is this. My entire point to this problem with Hanjin and ANY other company that SBMA brings in in this.
John: Safety, and better wages and benefits for ALL the workers.
John: It is time for SBMA to DO THE RIGHT THING for its WORKERS.
John: Did THEY really burn these drugs??????? Or did they "fix" this in some way and the drugs are still there for sale?????
John: "SBMA organized a safety inspection team at the construction site to ensure the South Korean construction firm and its sub-contractors follow the national safety standards. - GMANews.TV "
John: WHO is on this team?????????????? Again, seems to me a cover up here. A team of un-trained people is not a team, but a joke. You need EXPERTS in eveery aspect of safety in building ships.
John: You need experts in wldings, erectors, steel cuttings, carpenters, electrical, gases, etc., etc., to make a GOOD SAFETY TEAM.
John: Oh well, another cover up in the making. Why waste my time talking about this anyway.
RamonAbello: Sorry John, been bz. 4 minute
RamonAbello: actualy for past years of my observation they doing great but the most and critical part is "Safety"

RamonAbello: put "video survillance" on every post inside hanjin so they can monitor the activities of all workers of hanjin. installed it properly and strategic way
John: MEMBERS OF TASK FORCE ON HANJIN RESIGN. So my question is this. Why did these members resign? Pressure from who? Those issues listed for the new members is what I/WE have been talking about form weeks.
John: Seems maybe there are others who feel the same way. But really, what will this group do to mke it beter for the workers in Hanjin? Hanjin needs to be closed down till THEY get their SAFETY Program up and running to meet world wide standards.
John: If the workers continue to go to work and FAIL to take action, then why bother with trying to make it better? If the workers don't care, then let them continue to die for peanuts.
John: SAD as it seems that is what the attitude is of many.
RamonAbello: What Blood Ship? hello! how about the invention of gun, bullet, atomic bomb or crude oil and so forth! maybe as of u used on it? explain to me all the purpose of this equipment b4 u call this shipa name!
